Worship the Weird

Richard Crowfoot Excellent doom infused metal. Sabbathian riffs swing and cut like medieval broadswords. Great production and performances. The vocals add a witchy edge. Favorite track: The Mothman Lives.

psyencefiction I picked this album up recently and I am so fucking glad I did. I describe it as a Satanic acid trip. Imagine bestial form of Satan walking slowly towards, offering you a joint, while everything around him moves and pulsates, with colors shifting and distorting. It has easily become one of my top 5 all time favorite albums. Trying to pick a single favorite track off this album is nearly impossible, but something about Waverly Hills well, it calls to me. Back to the grave. Favorite track: Waverly Hills.

RATMAN Carcass - Swansong.
If you like this - you love that.
It's that simple. Favorite track: Nightmare at 20,000 Feet.

You wake up sitting naked strapped in I limp, loyal to the king Accusing you of treason high You swear you haven’t done a thing Stone walls shelter your screams Break bones rip away meat Speak your sins unto me The High confessor At first everyone denies it That’s when my talents come to light My practicals reveal my instruments And when you start to seem contrite―I’ll bite! Stone walls shelter your screams Break bones rip away meat Speak your sins unto me The high confessor Now you may bear to me false witness I never pay heed to the pleas It stops when you sign the document And mark your guilt for all to see Stone walls shelter your screams Break bones rip away meat Speak your sins unto me “Oh, it’s time to cut the truth out.” What will I do to you? Clamp widens rictus groove As I extract your tooth I extract confessions “Go ahead, beg God for mercy... but He doesn’t hold the pliers down here.” When will this nightmare stop? By knuckles fingers drop Horrified at cleaver’s chop You’ll shriek confessions “I hope you weren’t planning on learning the guitar. You’ll be lucky if you can play a fucking gong when I’m finished with you.” I don’t care if it’s lies I will get you to sign You won’t leave with your life But I’ll have … confessions

The Wraith 03:55
I will sap your strength from you I will take your soul away So many things lost On this cold, winter’s day Falling snow will hide your body Just as lies hid your sins Now lie here, undiscovered Until the spring begins The future I once wished for All the things that I desired Are now only ashes Burned away by the pyre I’m the wraith forever searching For the ones who did me wrong Consumed by flames of hatred Oh I have grown so strong I will have my revenge My fire is only embers Ice has thawed and gone away Revenge has been exacted I have no need to stay But the wraith is never-ending My soul is gone from me And my hate is never-mending Forever shall I be, yeah

Through choking lightning And pouring rain I saw it, I saw it A gremlin The pilot’s disdain Nightmare at 20,000 feet Nightmare at 20,000 feet Oh don’t you see it Because it’s on the wing of the plane Please believe me, it’s out there It’s on the wing of the plane Nightmare at 20,000 feet Nightmare at 20,000 feet It’s out there Haunting me Oh, the plate peeled black and burnt I know it, I know it Oh but I’m the only one who sees That it’s on the wing of the plane Please believe me, I’m telling you Ripping off the wing of the plane “I know I said I was good to travel. The asylum gave me a clean bill of health. But now my anxiety’s taken hold. The pills don’t help. Neither does the booze. And all I want is for someone to believe me. Someone to listen to me when I tell them That there’s something on the wing of the plane. I’m telling you, it’s right there—oh my God!” I promise you, it’s not just in my brain! I’ll do anything, don’t let it crash the plane! Nightmare at 20,000 feet Nightmare at 20,000 feet Nightmare at 20,000 feet c’mon Nightmare at 20,000 feet

Re-Animator 04:44
I bring you back with my needle’s caress It ain’t so bad, count yourself blessed Glowing green serum straight into your brain You’re living again but now you’re insane! You are my creation The twice living man No cause for loathing you’re Back from the damned Re-Animate you Rise from your graves! Re-Animate you To make you my slaves There’s been concerns with my procedure It’s no flaw I assure it’s a feature Mutant strength and unbridled aggression Are really signs of self-expression So go forth and kill! Cut a little hole in the head Gives you control of the dead Seems my theory was right Now I’ve gotta fight … An army of the dead! Re-Animate you Rise from your graves Re-Animate you To make you my— “I’ve done it. The experiment was a great success. And through you, my precious specimen, I’ve learned that life is not just a bridge between two voids.” You are my creation The twice living man No cause for loathing, you’re Back from the damned Re-Animate you Rise from your graves Re-Animate you Oh you’re all of my … slaves

Just outside Canaan Past the old goat willow The sanitarium sits and rots Abandoned years ago There’s a room up there Where they locked me away Last night I saw a light That wasn’t there today Waverly Hills calls me Back to the grave Waverly Hills drags me My soul cannot leave It calls to me like a siren I’ve got to go, I feel the pull Waverly Hills calls me Back to the grave I remember when the winter chill ran through the air Sterile smells... return to me My insides scream as the butchers finish up their work Staples zippered... up my body My phone’s been ringing late at night when I’m asleep I pick it up and there’s no sound but then I hear him speak “These halls... have not... forgotten you. The body chute awaits you too.” Waverly Hills calls me Back to the grave Waverly Hills drags me My soul cannot leave It calls to me like a siren I’ve got to go, I feel the pull Waverly Hills calls me Back to the grave As I step inside that putrid rotting place again I hear the voices... call to me Decaying souls shrieking from abandoned halls Screaming ... to be set free Crumbling stairs lead to haunted five-oh-two Now I remember how I came to leave this room Air leaves my lungs for the final time “This one’s headed ... for the body chute” Waverly Hills calls me Back to the grave Waverly Hills drags me My soul cannot leave It calls to me like a siren I’ve got to go, I feel the pull Waverly Hills calls me Back to the grave

This desert stretches out From one world to the next Gunslinger’s hands Put your life to the test When sun meets steel and The bullet hits home One thing to remember One thing alone I have forgotten I have forgotten I have forgotten the face of my father Seeking the Man in Black Across hellscapes he flees Dark Tower monolithic Keeper of all destinies All worlds are folded shadows Echoing of rose and key The sorcerer sits waiting This is what he says to me I have forgotten I have forgotten I have forgotten the face of my father Gunslinger’s creed I remember thus With my hand gone In my eye I trust Shot with my mind From the very start Killed never with my gun The hate was always in my heart Almighty beamquake Destroyed midworld Upon Maturin’s path I saw all destinies unfurled Past rosy fields At the world’s end Cross the thirteenth gate And all stories begin again I will remember I will remember I will remember the face of my father I will remember I will remember I will remember the face of my father

In a graveyard in West Virginia There was the very first sight A manlike figure with ten-foot wings Flying out into the night Flew down the highway, down route number 2 Eyes burning red like fire I know what it came here to do Don’t you dare call me a liar Look to the sky see the Mothman fly Make sure you look away before you die The Mothman lives believe it or not I saw it with my own two eyes I know what it did to the bridge that day I saw it smile as it took their lives That time’s now far behind us We thought the Mothman gone Fifty dark years later Seems it found a brand new home The creature came to Chicago Dark spires rimed with frost Raising hell colder than perdition How many lives will now be lost? Look to the sky see the Mothman fly Make sure you look away before you die The Mothman lives believe it or not I saw it with my own two eyes I know what it did to the bridge that day I saw it smile as it took their lives I saw it smile, I saw it smile, I saw it smile As it took their lives

I’m trapped inside of my own body Mentally I’m slowly rotting away Twist and turn lost forever left to burn No escape no return, no return This maze of dreams seems disconnected Insanity not what I expected Oh no “Time-lost traveller, once I held your fears … Yes I’ve been here, for three hundred … years …” Oh no, no, God no!
